We all know the impact that video has in today’s marketing. Video content has been proliferating for years. In fact, 86% of companies are using video to market their products and/or services (according to a Renderforest survey, which you can see here).
Here are some numbers as to why businesses are leveraging video:
89% of consumers say they want to see more video content from companies.
69% said video is their favourite way of learning about new products, which is miles ahead of the second place, text based articles at 15% (Wyzowl).
It’s pretty clear that catering to that demand produces results. 83% of businesses surveyed by Wyzowl say that video gave them good ROI. In the Renderforest survey, 71% of businesses indicated that video increased time spent on a website and 78% said it helped generate more traffic. According to Forbes, half the people responding to a Toluna survey said they sought out more info after seeing a video ad.
Most marketers would agree that video is a vital component of an integrated Digital Marketing initiative. In fact, video content creation is more often than not allocated a dedicated budget for production.
